Tasting Notes 簡評:
The master distiller selects individual casks matured exclusively in
traditional American oak whisky barrels before marrying them together
for a further maturation in casks that have previously been used for making
fortified Madeira wine in Portugal. The Madeira cask finish enhance the
orchard fruit character of peach and pear with marzipan and nutmeg, and
gives a dry nuttiness to the long, oak finish. It has fresh citrus orange bursts
on the nose with almond comes through with nutmeg. Palate is velvet
smooth and welcoming on the tongue with full of fruity character of peach
and fig that is overlaid with rich butterscotch and Delicate walnut. The finish
is dry with grapey tannins and oak lingering character.
